Managing Invoices and Payment Methods

Your invoices, receipts, and saved payment methods all live in one place, the client area at guavahost.com/account, and this guide shows you how to manage each of them.

Your invoices, receipts, and saved payment methods all live in one place, the client area at guavahost.com/account, and this guide shows you how to manage each of them.

Getting into your billing area

Log in at guavahost.com/account with the email and password you used to order. From your dashboard, the Billing menu is your hub for everything money-related: invoices, payment methods, and your billing contact details. You can also reach your servers from here with the Game Panel button when you are ready to jump back into the console.

Viewing and paying invoices

  • Open the Billing menu and choose My Invoices.
  • You will see every invoice with its status: paid, unpaid, or cancelled.
  • Click an unpaid invoice to see the line items and total.
  • Choose your payment method and pay. Cards are handled securely through Stripe, and you can also pay with PayPal.

Paid invoices stay in the list forever, so this doubles as your full payment history. If you ever cannot find one, use the status filters at the top of the list to narrow it down.

Downloading receipts and PDF invoices

Need a copy for your records or an expense claim? Open any invoice from My Invoices and use the Download option to save it as a PDF. The PDF is a proper itemised invoice showing what you paid and when, which is exactly what you need for bookkeeping.

Updating your card or PayPal

Card expired, or switching to a new one?

  • Open the Billing menu and go to your payment methods.
  • Add or update your card details, which are stored securely with our payment provider rather than by us.
  • To pay with PayPal instead, choose it at checkout on your next invoice to set up the agreement.

Keeping a valid payment method on file is what lets GuavaHost renew your server automatically so it never lapses.

Turning auto-renew on or off

Auto-renew is tied to having a saved payment method. With a valid card or an active PayPal agreement, due invoices are charged automatically and your server stays online without you lifting a finger. If you would rather pay each invoice by hand, remove the saved method (or tell support) and simply pay from My Invoices before each due date. Turning off auto-renew does not cancel anything on its own; your server is only ever cancelled when you actually request it.

If a payment fails

If a card charge does not go through, GuavaHost retries and emails you. Just open the invoice from My Invoices, update your card if needed, and pay it manually. Your server is not suspended the instant a charge fails, so you have time to sort it out.

Keeping your details current

Your billing contact details, name, email, and address, live under your account settings in the same area. Keep your email accurate especially, because that is where your invoices, payment reminders, and receipts are sent. If reminders are going to an old inbox, update it here first.
