Managing Invoices and Payment Methods
How to view, pay and download your invoices in your control panel at customer.guavahost.com, and how the card or PayPal saved for your renewals works.

Your invoices and receipts live in your control panel at customer.guavahost.com. This guide shows you how to view, pay and download them, and how the card or PayPal saved for your renewals works.
Getting into your billing area
Sign in at customer.guavahost.com with the email and password you used to order (or the Google, Discord or GitHub button you signed up with). In the menu, Billing & invoices is your hub for invoices and payments, and Account settings holds your name, email and country. The Overview page also shows any Invoice to review and your most recent invoices. When you are ready to jump back into the console, open My servers and click Manage on a server.
Viewing and paying invoices
- Open Billing & invoices in the menu.
- You will see every invoice with its issue date, due date, total and status, such as paid, unpaid or cancelled. Overdue ones are marked Overdue.
- Click View invoice on an unpaid invoice to see the line items and total.
- Click Pay (the button shows the amount). Your saved payment method is checked first. If nothing is charged, a Choose how to pay form opens, where you pick Card & wallets or PayPal. Cards are handled securely through Stripe, and the card option can also offer Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link when your browser supports them.
Paid invoices stay in the list forever, so this doubles as your full payment history. If you ever cannot find one, use the All invoices, Unpaid, Paid and Other filters or the search box at the top of the list.
A server's own invoice can also be paid from the server: when one is due, a notice on the server's pages has a Pay the invoice button.
Downloading receipts and PDF invoices
Need a copy for your records or an expense claim? Open any invoice from Billing & invoices and click Download PDF to save it. The PDF is a proper itemised invoice showing what you paid and when, which is exactly what you need for bookkeeping.
Updating your card or PayPal
Card expired, or switching to a new one? There is no separate payment methods page to edit. Instead, the payment method you pay with is saved for you:
- Every card payment you make with GuavaHost, at checkout or in your control panel (including Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link), saves that card for renewals. The card you paid with most recently is the one used.
- To switch cards, pay an invoice with the new card, for example your next renewal invoice as soon as it appears in Billing & invoices. From then on, renewals use the new card.
- To use PayPal, pay an invoice with PayPal. GuavaHost asks PayPal to keep your account on file for renewals. If you have both a saved card and PayPal, renewals go to the card.
Your card details are stored securely with Stripe, our payment provider, rather than by us. Keeping a valid payment method on file is what lets GuavaHost renew your server automatically so it never lapses. Automatic renewal with a saved card or PayPal explains the whole process.
Turning auto-renew on or off
Auto-renew is tied to having a saved payment method. With a valid card or a saved PayPal account, due invoices are charged automatically and your server stays online without you lifting a finger. If you would rather pay each invoice by hand, ask support to remove your saved card or PayPal (there is no remove button in the control panel), and simply pay from Billing & invoices before each due date. Turning off auto-renew does not cancel anything on its own; your server is only ever cancelled when you actually request it.
If a payment fails
If a renewal charge does not go through, for example because the card expired or your bank wanted to confirm the payment, the invoice stays unpaid and you get the usual payment reminders. Just open the invoice from Billing & invoices, click Pay, and pay with a card that works. That card then becomes your renewal card. Your server is not suspended the instant a charge fails, so you have time to sort it out.
Keeping your details current
Your name, email and country live under Account settings in the same area. Keep your email accurate especially, because that is where your invoices, payment reminders, and receipts are sent. If reminders are going to an old inbox, update it here first.
