Can I run SourceMod or Metamod plugins on CS2?

Metamod, yes. SourceMod, no: it was built for the older Source engine and does not run on Counter-Strike 2, so CS:GO plugins (.smx files) will not load. CS2 plugins use Metamod:Source 2.x with a Source 2 framework on top, most often CounterStrikeSharp. You upload both on the Files tab, and our CS2 plugin guide walks through it.

Can I run practice servers or custom game modes?

Absolutely. Full access to all configuration files lets you run practice configs, retake servers, 1v1 arenas, surf, bhop, or any custom setup.

Are Workshop maps supported?

Yes. You can configure Workshop map collections and the server will automatically download and host them.

Do I need a GSLT for my CS2 server?

Yes, if you want it listed in the community browser and open to players over the internet. A Game Server Login Token is free: create one at steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers with App ID 730, paste it into the Steam Account Token field on the Startup tab and restart.
