Using the classic game panel (panel.guavahost.com)
The classic game panel is still available alongside the new control panel. Here is when you need it, how to sign in with your GuavaHost account, and how to fix common login problems.

Most people now run everything from the GuavaHost control panel at customer.guavahost.com: the console, files, backups, settings and billing. The classic game panel at panel.guavahost.com is still there as an advanced option, and you sign in to it with the same GuavaHost account. There is no separate panel password to remember.
When you need the classic panel
Only for a couple of advanced jobs the control panel does not do: creating a blank file in the browser, and choosing a Java version by hand for Minecraft.
For everything else, start at customer.guavahost.com. Getting around your new control panel shows where everything is.
Signing in on panel.guavahost.com
Going to panel.guavahost.com shows the GuavaHost sign-in page, which says "The same GuavaHost account you use for billing."
- Continue with Discord, Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub if that is how you sign in to GuavaHost.
- Or enter your Email address and Password under "or sign in with email" and click Sign in.
- Forgot your password? takes you to the GuavaHost password reset page. Resetting there changes your one password everywhere.
Messages on the panel sign-in page
| Message | What to do |

| Those login details don't match an account. | Check the email and password. Remember it is your GuavaHost account password. If in doubt, reset it. |
| Too many attempts. Please try again in a few minutes. | Several wrong passwords in a row pause sign-in for a short time. Wait, then try again or reset your password. |
| Sign-in didn't complete. Please try again. | The Google, Discord or GitHub step was cancelled or interrupted. Start it again. |
| Your session expired. Please try again. | The page was left open too long. Reload it and sign in again. |
Sent back to your GuavaHost account instead?
After you sign in, the classic panel looks for the game panel account that belongs to your GuavaHost account. If it cannot find one, it sends you back to your GuavaHost account rather than leaving you stuck on a login screen. That usually means one of these:
- You do not have a game server yet, for example you only created an account.
- Your new server is still being set up. See Paid but your server isn't ready yet?.
- Your emails no longer match. If you changed your GuavaHost email after your server was created and the panel keeps sending you back, contact support so we can match them up.
Invited to someone else's server?
You do not need the classic panel for that. When a friend adds you through People, their server appears under My servers in your control panel at customer.guavahost.com, tagged Sub-user access. Sign in there with your own GuavaHost account and click Manage on it. Giving a friend access with sub-users explains how it works.
Once you are in
- File transfer apps such as FileZilla connect over SFTP. Your SFTP details are on the Settings tab of your server in the control panel, under Connection details. See Uploading files with SFTP.
- Your account controls every file and backup on your server, so keep it safe. Protecting your account has the essentials.
