Set your password after an express checkout

Paid with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link? Use the one-hour email link to choose your GuavaHost password, or request a fresh link if it expired.

If you bought your server with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link through fast checkout, your GuavaHost account was created for you, but it does not have a password yet. We email you a link to choose one, it lasts one hour, and if it runs out you can request a fresh one in seconds.

Why you need to set a password

Fast checkout builds your account from the email address your wallet shared. A wallet email is contact information, not proof that you own an inbox, so GuavaHost never signs you in just because the payment went through. Instead, the password link goes only to that email address and is never shown on screen. Whoever can open that inbox is the person who gets into the account.

Until you set a password you cannot sign in to your client area or open the game panel, so do this first.

Step by step

1. After paying, you land on the Payment received! page. It reminds you to check the email used by your wallet for a password setup link.
2. Open that inbox and look for an email from GuavaHost with the subject Set up your GuavaHost account. It starts "Welcome to GuavaHost!" and says your payment was received.
3. Click Set up your password in the email. It opens a page on guavahost.com titled Set up your password.
4. Enter a new password of at least 8 characters, then type it again in Confirm new password.
5. Click Update password. You will see Password updated.
6. Click Continue to sign in and sign in with your wallet email and the password you just chose.

You are now in your client area at guavahost.com/account, where your server is listed under My services. Open it and click Open game panel to go straight into the panel. The rest of day one is covered in Your first day.

When the email arrives

The setup email is sent once your payment is confirmed, not the moment you tap the wallet button. Most payments confirm within seconds. If the checkout said your payment was still processing, the email follows automatically once it clears, even if you closed the page.

If the email has not arrived

• Check the right inbox. It goes to the email your wallet shared, which may not be the address you use day to day. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link each keep their own contact email.
• Check spam, junk and promotions folders, and search your mail for "GuavaHost".
• Give it a few minutes, then request a new link (below).

If the link expired or does not work

Setup links last one hour and work once. If you open an old one you will see "This link is invalid or expired". Getting a new one is quick:

1. Click Request a new link on that page, or press Request a password setup link on the Payment received page, or go to guavahost.com/account/reset.
2. Enter your wallet email address and click Send reset link.
3. You will see Check your email. The new email has the subject Reset your GuavaHost password and a Reset your password button. It does the same job and also lasts one hour.

Requesting a new link cancels any older link, so always use the newest email. For security, the page shows the same "Check your email" message whether or not the address has an account, so if nothing arrives, double check the spelling of the email you typed.

After your first sign-in

• Check your details. Your name and billing address came from your wallet. Open Account settings to confirm your first name, last name, email and country are right, since these appear on your invoices.
• Add a quicker sign-in if you like. Signing in with Google, Discord or GitHub using the same email only works after you have set your password and connected that provider in Account settings under Connected sign-ins. See Sign in with Google, Discord or GitHub.

If you already had an account

If your wallet email already belonged to a GuavaHost account, you did not get a setup email at all. Checkout asked you to sign in and added the server to your existing account instead, and you keep using your existing password. See Express checkout when you already have an account.

Still cannot get in?

If the link keeps failing, or you no longer have access to the wallet email, contact support from guavahost.com/support. Tell us the email your wallet used, roughly when you paid, and your invoice number if you have it. Our team will never ask you for your password.
