Enshrouded Server Not Showing or Won't Connect? Fixes

If your Enshrouded server is missing from the browser or refuses a direct connection, it is almost always a version mismatch, a server that is still booting, or a port issue, and all three are quick to fix.

If your Enshrouded server is missing from the browser or refuses a direct connection, it is almost always a version mismatch, a server that is still booting, or a port issue, and all three are quick to fix.

First, confirm the server is actually up

Open the Console tab in your GuavaHost panel and watch it. A healthy server prints its startup steps and then a line telling you it is online and ready to accept players. If you do not see that, or the console is stuck or looping errors:

  • Restart the server from the panel and watch the console again.
  • If it still will not come up cleanly, use the Settings tab to reinstall, then let it boot fully.

A server that has not finished loading simply will not appear anywhere yet, so always give it that minute.

Match your game version

This is the single most common cause. Enshrouded refuses connections between a client and server running different versions. When a patch drops, your game may update before the server does, or the other way around. Make sure both are on the same version, updating your client through Steam and checking the server version on the Startup tab. A quick restart of the server usually pulls the latest build.

Search by the exact name

The browser matches on your server name. Search for it exactly as it appears in enshroudedserver.json`, and remember any recent rename. If the list is busy, narrow it with the browser's filters, then favourite your server once you find it so you skip the search next time.

Check your ports

Enshrouded needs two UDP ports open, the game port 15636 and the query port 15637 by default. GuavaHost assigns and opens these for you, and you can confirm the exact values on the Network tab. If you changed a port, make sure the new value is reflected in your config and that you are connecting to the matching one.

Joining by IP

If the browser is being stubborn, try connecting directly with the IP and game port shown at the top of your server view. Favouriting the server by its address, where your menu allows it, is often more reliable than scrolling the public list. Share that same IP and game port with friends so they can add it too.

Rule out your own network

  • A strict firewall or VPN on your computer can block the game's UDP traffic. Temporarily pausing a VPN is a quick test.
  • Try from another device or ask a friend to search. If they can see the server and you cannot, the problem is local to you rather than on the server.
  • Restart your router if nothing on your network can reach it, since a stale connection sometimes causes it.

Still nothing?

Give the browser a moment to refresh, then search again, since new servers can take a short while to list. If you have confirmed the server is online, versions match, and the ports are correct and it still will not show, our team can look at it directly.
