Connecting to your GuavaHost Enshrouded server takes just the server address from the top of your panel and a quick trip through the game's co-op menu.
Find your connect address
Open your server in the GuavaHost game panel and look at the very top of the server view. That is where your IP and port sit, and together they make up your connect address. Because every GuavaHost server has instant setup, it is live within seconds of ordering, so your address works straight away.
Behind the scenes, Enshrouded uses two UDP ports (UDP is the quick, lightweight way games send data over the internet). The game port is 15636 by default and the query port is 15637. GuavaHost opens both for you automatically, so you almost never need to think about them. If you ever want to review or change them, they live on the Network tab.
Join from inside Enshrouded
- Launch Enshrouded and pick Play from the main menu.
- Open the online server browser (the co-op server list).
- In the search box, type your server name. This is the name value from your enshroudedserver.json`, so if you renamed the server, search for the new name.
- Select your server in the results and click Join.
- If a role password is set, type it when the game asks.
Once you have found your server, favourite it so it sits at the top of the list next time and saves you searching again.
What to share with friends
Your friends do not need your whole panel, only two things: the server name to search for (or the IP and game port if their menu lets them connect directly) and the role password you want them to use. That keeps your admin login private while still letting people in.
Passwords and roles
Enshrouded sorts players into roles such as Admin, Friend and Guest, and each role can carry its own password. The password a player enters decides what they can do, like editing the base or kicking others. Hand the right password to the right people. You can set these on the Startup tab or by editing enshroudedserver.json on the Files** tab. Our Enshrouded server settings guide walks through every option.
If it will not connect
- Give it a moment after any restart. Watch the Console tab until the server reports that it is online and ready before you try to join.
- Match your game version to the server. Enshrouded refuses connections between mismatched versions, so if a big patch just landed, update your client and check the server version on the Startup tab.
- Copy the address exactly, with no stray spaces at either end.
