Your server IP and port are the address your friends type into the game to join you, and both are shown right at the top of your GuavaHost panel.
Where to find it
Open your server in the control panel from guavahost.com/account. At the top of the server view, above the tabs, you will see an address made of two parts separated by a colon, for example 123.45.67.89:25565. The part before the colon is the IP (the numeric address of the machine). The part after the colon is the port (the specific door on that machine your server listens on). Together they are your full connect address.
You can usually click the address to copy it to your clipboard.
Sharing it the right way
How you share depends on the game, but the pattern is the same:
- Some games want the whole thing. Paste 123.45.67.89:25565 into the Add Server or Direct Connect box exactly as shown.
- Some games split it into two fields. Put 123.45.67.89 in the address field and 25565 in the port field.
- If the port is the game's default, many clients let players type just the IP and fill in the port automatically. When in doubt, share the full address to be safe.
Send your friends the exact text you copied. A single wrong digit or a missing port is the most common reason someone cannot connect.
Checking your ports on the Network tab
Open the Network tab to see every port allocated to your server. Your main game port is the primary allocation and the one at the top of the server view. Some games use extra ports for things like query, voice or a map viewer, and those extra allocations also appear here. If a feature needs a second port, this is where you confirm which one to hand out.
Does the IP ever change?
Your connect address stays the same as long as your server lives on the same node. If you change your server location later, or the team moves you, the IP can change, so always re-check the top of the panel and re-share the current address after any move.
If friends still cannot connect
- Confirm the server status pill on the Console tab reads Running. Nobody can join a server that is offline or still Starting.
- Double-check they copied both the IP and the port, with the colon in between.
- Make sure their game version matches your server version, which you can see and set on the Startup tab.
- Have one friend try, rather than everyone at once, so you can rule out their setup versus yours.
