How to Connect to Your Palworld Dedicated Server

Connecting to your Palworld dedicated server takes about a minute: copy the server IP and port from the top of your GuavaHost panel, open Palworld's community server screen, and join by IP address.

Connecting to your Palworld dedicated server takes about a minute: copy the server IP and port from the top of your GuavaHost panel, open Palworld's community server screen, and join by IP address.

Find your connect address

Every GuavaHost server shows its connect address at the very top of the server view in your panel. It looks like 123.45.67.89:8211. The first part is the IP and 8211 is the default Palworld game port. Copy the whole thing, because your friends will paste the same address to join.

If you ever need to double-check the port, open the Network tab in the panel. That is where your server's ports (called allocations) are listed. Palworld uses one UDP port for gameplay, and by default it is 8211.

Join from the Palworld main menu

  • Launch Palworld and choose Join Multiplayer Game (Dedicated Server) from the main menu.
  • At the top, switch to the Community Servers tab.
  • Look for the Connect with IP field near the bottom of the screen.
  • Type your full address, for example 123.45.67.89:8211, and confirm.
  • If you set a server password, enter it when prompted, then pick or create your character.

Joining by IP is the most reliable method, so use it even if you also expect the server to appear in the browsable list. The public list is handy but slow to update, while a direct IP connection works the moment your server is online.

Share the address with friends

Your players join in exactly the same way. Send them the IP:8211 address and the server password if you set one. Everyone connecting to the same address lands in the same world, so there is nothing extra for them to install beyond owning Palworld on Steam. It is worth pinning the address somewhere your group can find it, like a Discord channel, so nobody has to ask for it each session.

If it will not connect

  • Check the server is running. Open the Console tab in your panel. A healthy server prints startup lines and settles on a running state. If it is stopped, press Start.
  • Confirm the port. The address must end in the game port shown on the Network tab, normally :8211. Leaving the port off is the most common mistake.
  • Wrong password. A server password is case sensitive. Copy it exactly from your config or paste it to avoid typos.
  • Version mismatch. If you see a disconnected or incompatible version message, your server needs updating to match the game. Restart the server from the panel so it pulls the latest build.
  • Give it a few seconds. GuavaHost servers start instantly, but the very first boot after ordering can take a moment to generate the world. Watch the Console until it stops scrolling.

Once you are in, you can invite your whole group, and the same address will keep working every session.
