About these guides
Crossplay lets Minecraft Java and Bedrock players join the same world. It runs on a Java server with Geyser, a plugin that translates between the two editions, usually alongside Floodgate so Bedrock players can join without owning a Java account.
Java players connect on the Java port as usual, and Bedrock players use the server's separate Bedrock port, which is the most common thing to get wrong. Start with Geyser explained to see what carries over between the editions and what does not, then follow the setup guide for Geyser and Floodgate.
