To connect to your GuavaHost ARK server, copy the server IP and port from the top of the panel, then either add it to your Steam favorites, find it in the in-game session browser with the Unofficial filter on, or use the console open command to connect directly.
Find your connect address
At the top of your server view in the panel you will see the server IP and a port. Together those are your connect address. For most ARK servers the game port is 7777.
There is one difference between the two games worth knowing. ARK: Survival Evolved (ASE) also uses a separate Steam query port (often 27015) that the server browser and Steam favorites rely on. ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA) dropped that separate query port and uses the single game port for everything.
Method 1: Steam favorites (best for ASE)
- In Steam, open View > Game Servers, then the Favorites tab, and click Add A Server.
- Enter your IP followed by the query port, for example 203.0.113.10:27015.
- Launch ARK, choose Join ARK, and set the session filter to Favorites. Your server appears there.
Method 2: The in-game session browser
- From the main menu choose Join ARK.
- Set the session filter dropdown to Unofficial (or All). Official-only is the default and it will hide your server.
- Turn off the Hide options (Hide Full, Hide Password Protected, Hide Player-Dead) so nothing is filtered out.
- Type your server name into the search box. A freshly started server can take a minute or two to register, so give it time.
Method 3: Direct connect with the console
This is the fastest way and it skips the browser entirely.
- At the main menu, press Tab to open the console.
- Type open 203.0.113.10:7777 using your own IP and game port.
- Press Enter. ARK connects straight to the server.
Still cannot find or join it?
- Give a brand new server time to finish its first boot. Watch the Console tab in the panel until it reports that it is listening. ARK loads a lot into memory before it becomes joinable.
- For ASE favorites, double check you used the query port and not the game port.
- If you set a server password, you have to enter it when joining.
- If the server runs mods, your client needs those same mods. It usually downloads them automatically when you join.
- ASA uses its own server list, so filter to Unofficial and search by name there too.
